Yes, there are 4 essays (but not really). Essay 1 is only 1-2 pages. Essays 2, 3, and 4 are all 1-2 paragraphs each! Attend a workshop and we will guide you through it.

 

Attending a Workshop Statistically Increases Your Chances! 

After you attend a workshop, be sure to share a draft with a study abroad advisor to increase your chances even further. If you bring in your essay sooner, we can even read more than one draft of it.

GILMAN DEADLINE: October 10, 2024 (Thursday) @ 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time)

Gilman Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens who receive a Pell Grant.

Attend a Gilman Workshop to gain a competitive chance to receive $4,000 for a semester of studying abroad, $5,000 for a year of studying abroad, or $8,000 for also studying a critical language and/or STEM while abroad. In the workshops, we will be guiding you on how to turn in a successful application with competitive essays.
